Parking outside on the street is expensive in Amsterdam. On Sundays it is free parking in our part of the city. For other days the rate is 4 euro per hour in our street.
we advise you to park in a P+R car park !!! These are guarded car parks.
If you arrive after 10:00 am the rate is 1 euro for 24 hours only (max. 96 hours; after 96 hours they charge the
nomal parking rate). The government promotes this in order to get less cars
parked in the
city. It is called 'Park & Ride'. The nearest 'Park & Ride'
car parks are at Stadionplein, World Fashion Centre and Sloterdijk. To get to
our house from the car park at Stadionplein you take tram 16, get off at stop
'Museumplein'' and change to tram 3 or 12 and get off at stop 'Kinkerstraat'.
From car park Sloterdijk there is a direct connection with tram 12, get
off at stop 'Kinkerstraat'. And from car park World Fashion Centre there
is also a direct connection with tram 17, get off at stop 'Kinkerstraat'.
In case you have a lot of luggage it might be wise to drop your luggage off first and to park your car afterwards.
