From Schiphol to our apartment the best way to travel is by bus.
The busstation (Marnixstraat) where these busses have their last stop is at a 100 meter distance from our apartment only.

The Connexxion Amsterdam Tourist Ticket is an easy and fast way from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to the city centre of Amsterdam.

Advantages 'round trip busticket':
Only 30 minutes from Schiphol Plaza to the centre of Amsterdam (Leidseplein).
6 to 8 buses each hour.
Only € 10,- for a round trip ticket. Journeys do not have to take place on the same day. Faster than the train and subway. Travel directly to the Museumkwartier and Leidseplein, where many hotels are located.

Where can you buy a ticket?
Your Connexxion Amsterdam Tourist Ticket can be purchased at the Holland Tourist Information Desk at Schiphol and at several Schiphol hotels. Ask the receptionist at your hotel or the Holland Tourist Information Desk for more information.

Where does the bus stop?
Exit Schiphol Plaza through the revolving doors. The bus stops are located opposite the huge video walls. Take bus route 197 or 370 to Leidseplein, Amsterdam. Take the bus all the way to the last stop (Marnixstraat busstation).

The first bus from Schiphol departs at 05:00 a.m. The last bus from Schiphol departs at 12:00 a.m. The first bus from Amsterdam City Centre departs at 05:15 a.m. The last bus from Amsterdam City Centre (Leidseplein) departs at 12:00 a.m.

From Marnixstraat busstation you walk to the right in the direction of a crossing with traffic lights. At the crossing you turn left (Nassaukade) and take the first street right (look for a huge mural of a naked woman). This is the Jacob van Lennepstraat. Look for nr. 14 and ring the doorbel at the left door

From Schiphol Airport by train: Take the train to Amsterdam Central Station, which will take you about 15 minutes. From there you take tram 17 and get off at stop ‘Elandsgracht’ (15 minutes). From there it is a 2 minutes walk to the apartment. You cross the bridge towards the crossing with the traffic lights and turn left (Nassaukade) and take the first street right (look for a huge mural of a naked woman). This is the Jacob van Lennepstraat. Look for nr. 14 and ring the doorbel at the left door.

From Schiphol Airport by taxi: If you'll take a taxi please be aware that they try to rip of tourists. There is a fixed maximum price from Schiphol airport to Amsterdam Oud-west (the part of Amsterdam where the apartment is located) of 33 euro's. If the meter (make sure the chauffeur switches it on) is showing less than 33 euro's it is the price the meter is showing. If it showing more than 33 euro's the price is still 33 euro's. 


From Central Station:

Take tram 17 and get off at stop ‘Elandsgracht’ (15 minutes). From there it is a 2 minutes walk to the apartment. By car:  

Coming from the A10 Ring you'll take exit 106 in the direction 'Overtoomse veld'. Go straight ahead untill the second traffic lights. Here you keep right following direction 'Centrum'. You'll cross a bridge. At the next traffic lights you turn left. You are now on the 'Overtoom'. You go straight ahead all the way untill the end of the Overtoom. At the end you turn left. The 7th street left is the 'Jacob van Lennepstraat'. On the left hand corner you'll see a huge mural of a naked woman. Look for nr. 14 and ring the doorbel at the left doorPlease be aware that there is a 'Jacob van Lennepkade' as well. This is the street before the Jacob van Lennepstraat coming from the Overtoom.
